June 13, 2024, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has unveiled a $230 million initiative aimed at fueling the growth of startups worldwide by boosting the development of Generative AI applications. This funding will equip early-stage companies with AWS credits, mentorship, and educational resources to advance their utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies.
 

As part of this commitment, AWS will allocate resources to support the second installment of the AWS Generative AI Accelerator program. This initiative will provide practical guidance and grants of up to $1 million in credits to the top 80 early-stage startups leveraging generative AI to address intricate problems.
 

Applications for participation in the AWS Generative AI Accelerator program are now open and will remain so until July 19.
 

The AWS Generative AI Accelerator program has demonstrated a track record of fostering successful startups. It identifies promising early-stage companies employing generative AI to tackle multifaceted challenges across diverse sectors, including financial services, healthcare, media and entertainment, business, and climate change. Participants will benefit from tailored sessions covering topics such as ML performance enhancement, stack optimization, and go-to-market strategies.
 

Over a span of 10 weeks, participants will be matched with mentors specializing in both business and technical domains, tailored to their industry vertical. Each startup will receive grants of up to $1 million in AWS credits to facilitate the development, training, testing, and deployment of their generative AI solutions. Furthermore, they will gain access to industry experts, technology, and technical sessions courtesy of NVIDIA, the presenting partner of the program. Additionally, participants will be invited to join the NVIDIA Inception program, which is designed to nurture innovative startups.
